How to survive without a one year worth supply of the toilet paper

Should I say that I am lucky? Only 2 weeks ago I came back from a short vacation to the seaside without any concerns about coronavirus. Today some countries closed their borders and airports for international flights, traveling and attending public events considered to be a risk, schools closed, people are buying hand sanitizers, face masks and toilet paper like those items are going to save their lives.
So let's leave panic aside and look at some facts and tips.

1. Toilet paper in amounts over 1 month of regular usage is useless. As well as water in 0.5 l bottles. What must be at home: non-perishable food for a family for 2 weeks. In case anyone in the family gets sick or family has to be self-quarantined, you must have a reasonable amount of food. Also it is good to have basic medications for fever, headache, stomachache, any prescription medications. Again, in reasonable amounts. Boiled tap water is going to replace those ugly little plastic bottles and will save the planet.
2. Attending big events wouldn't be smart, specially if COVID-19 is reported in the area. Just wait for the next year.
3. Check the reports for your area. Sometimes news channels escalate the issue for no reason. Use the official sources. For Ontario, Canada that would be the provincial ministry of health web-site

4. If you were sent to work or study from home, try to stay at home. If you do not have symptoms and/or you were not in contact with someone who got positively tested for COVID-19, going for a walk to the park or forest is useful, but try to avoid people. If it is a self-quarantine, than you must remain in the house.
5. Another great tip is to order groceries (and toilet paper) online. In Greatest Toronto Area we have the following options:
https://www.penguinfresh.com/ delivery to the house, fresh food, excellent quality
https://www.metro.ca/en/online-grocery Metro is an upscale network of supermarkets. Free delivery for orders over 40$
https://www.pcexpress.ca/ Loblaws supermarkets; order and pay online, drive to the store and your purchases will be loaded into the trunk of you car
https://www.walmart.ca/en/grocery/N-117 similar service from Walmart Canada
Also you can always order prepared food from the local restaurants using Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes and Doordash.
Don't forget too wash your hands, keep kids busy, and stay healthy! And the most important thing, please do not panic.
